As a child, I had a debilitating fear of needles. At age 13, I learned I’d need insulin injections for the rest of my life just to stay alive. For years I buried that trauma. I accepted discomfort, boundaries, and limitations. But eventually I felt a passion too strong to contain. I found places that pulled me forward. And I found a path that abandoned my fears. These places changed me. I want to share that feeling. I want to capture what it means to find new strength in the beauty of our natural world.
